Contemporary Resort Rooftop viewing
The rooftop of the Contemporary is a great place to view the Magic Kingdom, Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Monorails, Ferry's, and the fireworks show.
The opposite side has great view of the Wilderness Lodge with Epcot, Expedition Everest, and the Tree of Life in the background.
To access the roof you have two options. One, make reservations at the California Grill (the restaurant on the rooftop level) and just go outside for a breather.
The other way is use the outside stairwells. They are located on each of the four corners. Each stairwell levels have balconies. They all have great views, but the higher you go the better the view will be.
The easiest way to get to the roof is use any of the elevator's and go to the highest floor it lets you go to, 11th floor I think. It saves you from having to walk up all those stairs from the 4th floor. Remember the doors lock when the door closes. If that happens you have to walk all the way down to the 4th floor.
If you happen to be up on the roof during the Magic Kingdom's fireworks you will have a great view of them. Sound is even piped in.
If you look to the opposite side you will see the fireworks show from Epcot too!, no sound though.
Enjoy. Questions? Feel free to email me.
Happy viewing everyone!!!!!
