North Carolina: May 20,1861
Tennessee: June 8,1861
Missouri: Ordinance passed, but never presented to the people.
Kentucky: Ordinance passed by the people in 1861.

During battle the flag was flown with the center star pointing up, when the
battle required a retreat the flag was turned upside down as the southern
soldiers pulled back.
